The Lash-Loving Girl’s Guide to Applying Magnetic Lashes

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably gone through at least one too many phases of mascara experimentation. From drugstore brands to high-end tubes, I’ve tried it all in the quest for long, luscious lashes. But no matter how much money I spend or how often I curl them, my lashes always seem to fall short. So when a friend told me about magnetic lashes, I was intrigued.

Magnetic lashes are false lashes that are attached to your natural lash line with tiny magnets. They promise to give you fuller, longer lashes without any of the hassle of traditional false lashes. And since they can be worn again and again, they’re actually more economical in the long run than traditional falsies. So I decided to give them a try.

I have to admit, I was a little bit apprehensive at first. Applying false lash extensions Denver has never been my forte—in fact, I usually avoid it at all cost because it always seems to end in disaster. But after doing a little bit of research and watching some YouTube tutorials, I felt like I had a handle on things. Here are the steps that I followed:

Step 1: Curl your natural lashes with an eyelash curler to prep them for the falsies. This will help the falsies adhere better and make your eyes look wider and more awake.

Step 2: Trim the lash strip if necessary. Measure the lash strip against your eye and trim off any excess from the outer corner. You want the lash strip to start at the inner corner of your eye and end at the outer corner—any excess will just make things more difficult.

Step 3: Apply glue to the lash strip. Be generous with the glue but make sure not to get any in your eye! Even though it’s annoying, it’s best to wait 30 seconds or so for the glue to get tacky before moving on to the next step.

Step 4: Attach the magnet to the lash strip. There are usually two magnets on each lash strip—a small one for the inner corner of your eye and a larger one for the outer corner. Line up the magnets with your natural lash line and gently press them into place. Make sure that both magnets are securely attached before moving on.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for your other eye.

Wrap Up!

Applying magnetic lashes is definitely not as difficult as it seems! With a little bit of practice (and perhaps a few YouTube tutorials), you’ll be able to apply them like a pro in no time flat.
